Warren Spahn vs Johnny Podres
Tommy Davis hit two homers off of Warren Spahn and Johnny Podres threw shutout ball until the top of the 8th. Milwaukee scored 3 in the 8th to halve LA's lead, but could do no more damage as Podres, who fanned 11, righted the ship for the complete game victory. Podres lone mistake was the 3 run shot hit by "Hammerin" Hank Aaron. Besides pitching great Podres went 2 for 3 at the plate.
Dodgers lead series 1-0
