Bob Miller vs Bob Sadowski
Staked to a 6-0 lead after 6 innings Sadowski began to breakdown in the 7th. LA would get two runs in both the 7th and 8th to make it a 2 run game. Bob Shaw would come to the rescue to shutout the Dodgers over the final two innings to get the save to even the series. Joe Torre went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's on the day. Gene Oliver, who's homer in the second started off the scoring, had a 2 for 3 day with 2 RBI's. Hank Aaron had 2 stolen bases to show that his legs are just as good as his bat and arm.
